We’re excited to announce PrideHacks 2021 - our second year as a virtual hackathon happening August 5-7!
What is PrideHacks?
PrideHacks is our annual hackathon bringing together people from Canada’s tech ecosystem to design, build and implement technology solutions for nonprofit organizations that serve the LGBTQ2S+ community across Canada.
This year, more than ever, the organizations serving our most vulnerable communities need our help.
As a participant, you will use your skill set to help a broad range of impactful nonprofits solve their technology challenges all while getting to know other tech professionals and our partner companies. What’s better than doing good while having fun!
PrideHacks is an inclusive environment - We welcome all genders, sexual identities, abilities... everyone! Whether you are a LGBTQ2S+ or an Ally, we welcome you to come, design, code, build, and implement solutions that will have lasting impact for these organizations.

The Projects
This year we will be supporting 10 Nonprofits (2 Spirits in Motion Society, Agir Montréal, AlterHéros, BELI-Black Executive Leadership Initiative, Egale Canada, Fête Arc-en-Ciel Québec, Interligne, Ontario Digital Literacy and Access Network, Rainbow Faith and Freedom, TransEstrie) that serve the 2SLGBTQ+ communities across Canada. How To Participate
Volunteer as a Project Manager
Sign up to be a Project Manager and help us to scope out projects, determine skills needed, and be the main point of communication between the Nonprofits and PrideHacks teams. Email Diego Fernandes at [email protected] if interested!
Attend the Opening Virtual Cocktail
On Thursday, August 5th, we will begin PrideHacks with an opening Virtual Cocktail Reception complete with performances from some of our favorite drag performers and concluding with project selections. All are welcome to attend this celebration and networking event!

Volunteer as a Hackathon Participant
On Friday and Saturday, August 6th and 7th, participants will work with a team to create solutions that solve a tech challenge for a nonprofit that serves the 2SLGBTQ+ communities. Join us for one or both days of hacking.
